June 4th is the Next Reading!

Hi all,
June's reading will be on Thursday, the 4th and July's will be Friday, the 10th. This two month shift is happening because Studio One is experiencing City of Oakland mandated black-outs for the First Fridays of June and July. We will be back to our normal night in August.

Come check the next reading out on the first Thursday---

Mike Young is the author of two forthcoming chapbooks: MC Oroville's Answering Machine (Transmission Press) and Real Sturdy Thing (Stormy Petrel Press). He co-edits NOÖ Journal and Magic Helicopter Press. He is from Oroville, CA and lives in Northampton, MA. Visit him online at http://noojournal.com/blog.

Jake Gillespie is a painter and new media artist originally from Nebraska. He recently moved to Oakland, CA with his wife. He is cofounder of Tugboat Gallery, a nonprofit art gallery in Lincoln, NE. His work has shown in museums and galleries in Omaha, Kansas City, Chicago, Syracuse and is forthcoming in Portland, OR and Oakland, CA.

Geoffrey G. O’Brien
is the author of Green and Gray (2007) and The Guns and Flags Project (2002), both from The University of California Press, and coauthor (in collaboration with the poet Jeff Clark) of 2A (Quemadura, 2006). He teaches verse writing and literature in the English Department at UC Berkeley and at San Quentin State Prison.
